New paper for Bexley

By Press Gazette

A free newspaper has launched in the London borough of Bexley, writes Mary Stevens.

The Bexley Chronicle is a 40-page, full-colour paper that will cover news and features about DIY, leisure, gardening, homes, lifestyle and motoring.

The paper will have a print run of 25,000 copies, which will be distributed to supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Areas covered include Crayford, Erith, Barnehurst, Welling, Bexley and Sidcup. It is being launched by Stone Leisure, which publishes outdoor leisure magazines such as Motorhome Monthly, Cycling World and Surf Magazine.

The paper will be published monthly at first before increasing its frequency and the first issue hits the streets on 17 September.
