New editors were announced this week for two of the UK’s leading regional dailies.
Cambridge Evening News deputy James Foster is to take the helm at the Norwich Evening News, and Southern Daily Echo deputy Dave King has bagged the top job at the Swindon Advertiser.
Foster’s appointment follows previous editor David Bourn’s abrupt departure in May this year.
His starting date is yet to be decided. Deputy editor Tim Williams is to be acting editor.
Meanwhile, King replaces Mark Waldron, who was named in June as the new editor of The News in Portsmouth.
His start date has yet to be confirmed and Pauline Leighton is to be acting editor in the interim.
