Reeves: internal promotion
Ian Reeves is to be Press Gazette’s new editor when Philippa Kennedy steps down at the end of October.
Reeves, 36, currently assistant editor, features, has been with the magazine for four years, having previously been editor and managing editor of Central Press Features.
He said: "I’m really thrilled to be given the opportunity to take such an important and influential magazine into the next phase of its life."
Reeves beat a strong field of candidates for the job of editing the "journalists’ bible".
Kennedy said: "Ian has been a tremendously supportive colleague and innovative features editor who deserves his chance at the editorship."
