Moving pictures

To mark
its arrival in Canary Wharf, Reuters is holding an outdoor exhibition
of its photography. The collection of 75 giant-sized pictures, entitled
Move!, opened on Wednesday.

The public exhibition includes
photographs of major news events, sports and entertainment pictures, as
well as images from the natural world. All the pictures, taken by a
selection of Reuters’ 600 photographers in more than 30 countries, are
based around the theme of movement.

From refugee camps in Sudan
and the challenges of daily life in Iraq, to hurricanes in Florida and
swarms of locusts in Dakar, Move! gives an insight into the events
moving people around the world The free exhibition features
two-metre-wide pictures which are on show throughout the public areas
of Canary Wharf until late September.

Reuters occupied its Fleet Street headquarters for 66 years before selling the building to investment bank, UBS.

The
news agency and financial information company is consolidating its
2,500 London staff from six locations into one 10-storey building at
South Colonnade, Canary Wharf. The company’s London-based editorial
team are currently at Gray’s Inn Road.
