A glossy lifestyle magazine has been launched for residents of Monmouthshire.
Monmouthshire County Life, a 60-page title, is the first magazine launch from Newsquest Wales and Gloucestershire. It will target upmarket readers in the affluent rural county of Monmouthshire and feature a range of articles from goat farming and luxury restaurants to original business ventures.
Editorial will include a listings page featuring upcoming events in the area as well as the usual lifestyle elements such as fashion, health and beauty, gardens, food, drink and property. It will also have a business element to champion local business and entrepreneurs.
Editor Andy Sambidge, who also edits the Free Press series, said: “The approach is different to editing a series of weekly paid-for titles and it has been very exciting seeing the product come together.”
Publisher Peter John said response from advertisers had been encouraging and the title had already hit its revenue targets. “This is a new product in the local market and we believe it has a big future ahead of it. Like everything we do, local content is the key to success,” he added.
The title will also have its own website at www.monmouthshirecountylife.
