Mirrors, People and Mails on Cudlipp shortlist

The shortlist for the Hugh Cudlipp Award, which is presented as part of The British Press Awards, has been announced. The nominations are:

Daily Mail, A Giant Step for Justice campaign – the naming of the Omagh bomb suspects;
Steve Dennis, Daily Mirror, royal butler Paul Burrell exclusive;
Neil Wallis, The People, Victory for Press Freedom – fighting a legal gag on naming Premiership footballer Garry Flitcroft;
Richard Stott, Chris Mclaughlin, Alan Rimmer, Sunday Mirror, A-Bomb legacy campaign;
The Mail on Sunday, a superb Sunday package, including coverage of Cheriegate;
Anton Antonowicz and Phil Spencer, Daily Mirror, Unveiled – investigation into the execution of abused wife Zamina in Kabul.
