The Manchester Evening News has appointed reporter Chris Barry as its new business editor.
Barry
joined the MEN in 1998 starting as a business reporter before being
made deputy business editor. He previously worked as a news reporter at
Press Association.
The appointment of Barry coincides with the
recent re-launch of the MEN’s business section. The section appears as
a supplement every Tuesday and augments two pages of business news that
appears in the paper every day.
Barry said: “I am looking
forward to continuing to develop the new business supplement, along
with the regular, daily business pages. The new supplement demonstrates
our commitment to Manchester’s business community.”
