By Press Gazette

Media executive search partnership, Mellor Watts International, has broken up after nine years.

The
company’s founding partners, John Watts and SimonMellor, will split
into two distinct operating companies, The Watts Partnership and The
Mellor Partnership, in an agreed move.

The Watts Partnership will
continue to provide executive search services for the media industry.
The company deals with clients such as National Magazine Company,
Euromoney, AOL, Pearson and Emap. John Watts will remain running the
commercial practice, which specialises in senior roles in publishing.

Tim
Glover will continue to head up broadcast and senior client marketing
assignments and Martin Tripp will maintain the creative division,
sourcing editors and art directors for traditional and new media.

TheMellor
Partnership will continue to provide search as well as selection
services for advertising and marketing communications businesses.

Co-founder
John Watts said: “It has become obvious over the years that the media
and agency sectors expect very different things. These changes of name
will allow us to put clear blue water between the two companies, and
move further forward in developing our businesses.”
