The editor of Jane’s Defence Weekly, Clifford Beal, has had to put the brakes on a flow of TV and radio appearances in order to meet the title’s deadlines.
Staff have been bombarded with calls from the media looking for expert opinion.
"Here we have the biggest news story that has happened in years and every news organisation on the planet is covering it in detail," he said.
Anthony Davis, the title’s Asian correspondent, is preparing to leave for Afghanistan. He is believed to be the last person to interview Ahmed Shah Masood, the Northern Alliance’s military leader before he was assassinated.
