LBC 97.3FM radio presenter Alison Bell (above) has been taken off air after she was arrested last week on suspicion of supplying drugs.
Bell, a freelance journalist who has also worked for CNN, Sky News and ITN’s ITV News Channel, was arrested in a London bar with James Hewitt, a former lover of Princess Diana. Both have been given bail.
LBC refused to comment on her current employment status at the station, insisting that as a freelance Bell had no contract as such. However, a spokesman confirmed she had been taken off the air since her arrest
