A court in Harare has postponed until 30 July its judgment on whether to dismiss the case against four newspaper directors of the banned Daily News.
The four – Sam Nkomo, Brian Mutsau, Rachael Kupara and Michael Mattinson – have been charged under Zimbabwe’s draconian press laws of illegally publishing The Daily News.
Their defence has applied for the case to be dismissed. The directors could be fined or jailed for up to two years if convicted.
