A jubilant Dartford Times has awarded itself an Oscar for being the fastest-growing local paper in Kent. Year-on-year it was up 12.5 per cent to 3,320.
Editor Melody Ryall put the paper’s success down to a back-tobasics approach. “We’ve had a series of good exclusives and features. There’s a lot happening in Thames Gateway, our local area.
It just goes to show that when it comes to sticking on sales you can’t beat traditional journalism.”
