The team of judges for this year’s Magazine Design Awards
Jack, Maxim Fashion and the Dazed and Confused spin-off car title Intersection are among the launches to make the shortlists for this year’s Magazine Design Awards.
The awards have attracted entries from 550 titles, a record number. The winners will be revealed at a ceremony at the London Hilton, Park Lane, on 4 July. The shortlists are: Best front cover (business to business): Accountancy Age, VNU; Army, Haymarket Customer Publishing; Creative Review, Centaur; Financial Director, VNU; MacUser, Dennis; Veterinary Today, Penton.
Best front cover (consumer): Exit, Exit Magazine; Jack, I Feel Good; M-Real, John Brown Citrus Publishing; Next Level, Blues Modernist; Radio Times, BBC Worldwide; Weekend, The Guardian, Guardian Newspapers.
Best use of typography: British Philatelic Bulletin, Royal Mail; Car, Emap Automotive; Glamour, Conde Nast; Intra, CMP Information; One Life, Redwood; Viewpoint, Big Active.
Best use of illustration: Dazed & Confused, Waddell; Jack, I Feel Good; M-Real, John Brown Citrus Publishing; Time Out, Time Out Group; Trans-Form, FL@33; Viewpoint, Big Active.
