News Magazines has appointed Sandy Whetton as managing director as
it gears up for its third launch, a women's weekly due out later this
year.
Formerly MD of IPC's SouthBank, Whetton was responsible for
15 titles including InStyle and Marie Claire and has over 30 years of
experience in magazine publishing, including being publishing director
of IPC's portfolio of country titles.
He will report directly to
News Magazines chief executive, Camilla Rhodes who said of the
appointment: "Sandy is one the magazine industry's most accomplished
and respected figures. His outstanding experience will be an invaluable
asset as we shape the future of our business."
