IPC creates ditigal director role for its women’s weeklies

IPC has created a new role of digital publishing director for its portfolio of women’s weeklies.

Sarah Summers has been appointed with the brief of developing the websites for titles like Chat, the relaunched Woman and Now.

Currently publishing director of In Style, Hair and Wedding, Summers has also been publishing director of Now.

Evelyn
Webster, managing director IPC Connect, said: “Consumers are
increasingly using all forms of media and it makes perfect sense for us
to deliver our brands on digital platforms, ensuring they remain right
at the heart of our readers’ lives. Sarah is a very experienced
publisher, which will stand her in great stead in building upon the
excellent work already achieved in the digital arena within Connect.”

Summers begins her new role on 4 September.
