Guardian’s new Ireland reporter

By Press Gazette

Angelique Chrisafis is The Guardian’s new Ireland correspondent. She replaces Rosie Cowan, who has become crime correspondent.

Chrisafis began her career in 1996 on the Sunday magazine of Portuguese national O Diario de Noticias. She joined The Guardian in 1998 as a trainee reporter.

In other changes, TV critic Gareth McLean becomes TV editor and his role will involve commissioning and co-ordinating television coverage across the G2 section.

Arts editor Dan Glaister is moving to Los Angeles to take over from Duncan Campbell. Glaister joined the paper in 1991 as a sub and three years later started the Jackdaw column. He became arts correspondent in 1996.
