GQ gets political with Spectator editor

By Press Gazette

Spectator editor Matthew D'Ancona has joined GQ as its new political correspondent and contributing editor.

From the January issue, D'Ancona will be writing a regular political column, joining GQ writers such as Boris Johnson, Simon Kelner, Alex Bilmes and Robert Chalmers – who are all nominated in the Press Gazette Magazine Journalism Awards.

Dylan Jones, editor of GQ, said: "Not since Peter Mandelson and Giles Coren has GQ had a regular political columnist, so we are enormously thrilled to have Matthew join the team. He is one of the most important voices in modern political journalism, and his contribution to GQ will be invaluable."

D'Ancona added:"I am absolutely delighted that I will be writing every month for GQ, which is without peer as a quality men's magazine."?
