Future Publishing

Future Publishing has announced the purchase of Beach Magazines and Publishing and its threemagazines, Junior , Junior Pregnancy & Baby and Wedding Day , for an initial £1.5m.

Future will pay up to a further £1.5m for Beach in a year if the business meets its targets.

The magazines will continue to be run by founder Chris Taggart, and will be published from Beach’s current offices in West London for the “foreseeable future”.

The company has also announced the purchase of What Laptop magazine from Crimson Publishing Ltd for £650,000.

The title will now be published by Future’s Technology Group, whose portfolio includes PC Plus, PC Format , T3 and Microsoft Windows XP: The Official Magazine.

The existing team is expected to move across with the magazine to Future’s London offices.

In August, Future expanded its portfolio with the purchase of Spanish Homes Magazine, PC Zone andcomputerandvideogames.com.
