Independent publishing company Adrenaline Media has acquired Fulford Publishing, owner of Lifestyle South magazine, for an undisclosed amount.
Lifestyle South is the only title owned by Fulford Publishing. Its founder and editor, Michelle Fulford, has moved from its original base near Southampton to London and will remain on the title.
Lifestyle South was set up 12 years ago and is distributed on a bi-monthly basis to selected homes in Hampshire and Dorset. It has a distribution of 27,000.
Nicolas Shulman, managing director of Adrenaline Media, said the acquisition would give advertisers an opportunity to reach a wider audience from London to the south coast. He said there were also plans to strengthen the content and increase the subscription base by introducing a cover price of £2.25. It will still be distributed free, but on an ad hoc basis and readers will have to subscribe to guarantee delivery.
“Lifestyle South is a fantastic publication with a huge amount of potential and I am delighted that Michelle Fulford will continue to work with us,” Shulman said.
The title will sit alongside Adrenaline Media’s debut title, News on The Block, a property lifestyle magazine aimed at residents of luxury apartments in London. It has a distribution of 20,000 and covers legal, financial and property management issues.
