FT’s Crooks moves up

Ed Crooks has been made UK news editor of The Financial Times

He replaces Robert Shrimsley, who is to concentrate solely on his daily satirical column, Notebook.

Crooks joined the FT in 1999 as economics editor, and was also previously an economics correspondent for the BBC.
