Five News relaunched this week, with a new set, graphics and music, as it attempts to maintain a reputation for moving the art of news presentation forward, writes Wale Azeez.
On its debut in 1997, the bulletin was credited with moving the news anchor – in the shape of Five News pioneer Kirsty Young – out from behind the desk to perching purposefully on the edge. The new look, Five News claims, will help give its viewers “sharp, down to earth and involving news delivery”.
