BBC radio reporter Dominic Hughes is to appear before the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee on 8 June to give evidence at a session on the foreign policy aspects of the war against terrorism.
Hughes, a foreign news reporter for the Today programme and formerly with the World Service, was one of the few BBC correspondents left reporting from Iraq until he was called to give evidence.
Also appearing before the committee will be Tom de Waal, head of the Caucasus Project at the media charity Institute of War and Peace Reporting.
De Waal is an expert on the RussianChechen conflict.
The IWPR is run by senior journalists and peace researchers, with staff drawn from the BBC, Reuters and The Guardian.
