Kieran McCarthy’s letter (Press Gazette, 29 July) missed the salient
point about the Evening Standard being ahead of everyone else with news
reporting on the London bombs. He has confused www.thisislondon.co.uk –
primarily an entertainment and listings site – with the paper. As my
letter (Press Gazette, 22 July) and news commentators have said, the
Evening Standard was first with the news as it was happening.
