First steps to celebrate Fleet Street Day…

By Press Gazette

From: David Meara Subject: Fleet Street Day I like the suggestion in
John Dale’s piece that we should institute a Fleet Street Day when
journalists from all over London (and beyond) can return to their old
haunts and briefly take over Fleet Street again.

It would be an
opportunity to show a younger generation where it all began, and to
indulge in unashamed nostalgia for the old days. It would need
co-ordination and planning, but I offer St Bride’s as one venue,
complete with choir, and within easy reach of numerous watering holes.

John, you’ve started something.

Now’s the time to form a committee….
