Finch to become AR’s eighth editor

By Press Gazette

One of the best-known names in architectural journalism has been appointed as editor at the Architectural Review .

Paul Finch, editorial director of Emap Construct and acting chairman of the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, will take the helm in February, following the retirement of Peter Davey.

Finch initially worked at Building Design and Estates Times through the 70s and early 80s, then as editor of BD and later editor of the Architects’ Journal .

He will become only the eighth editor in the AR’s 108-year history.

Jonathan Stock, publisher of the Architectural Review and the Architects’ Journal , said: “The AR is already the world’s most respected architecture magazine thanks to Peter Davey’s outstanding leadership. I look forward to working with Paul to build on that legacy to make it not only the most respected but the most widely-read architecture magazine in the world”
