Simon Brown, the former art director of Jack magazine, has joined creative consultancy Tomorrow London.
Brown, who left Jack after its parent company IFG was sold to Dennis Publishing last year, has taken up the role of creative director. Since leaving Jack, he has been working on the design of architect Rem Koolhaas’s magazine book Content.
He said the opening at Tomorrow London would allow him more freedom to pursue design. Tomorrow London did the screen graphics for City of God director Fernando Meirelles’ new film The Constant Gardener. Brown will also be involved in creating and steering workshops for the British Council’s think tank Counterpoint on representing youth.
Stephen Flanagan, founder and director of Tomorrow London, said Brown was a “natural fit” within the company with his reputation as “a design deviant” and his ability to work across media.
Brown will work for the consultancy alongside his venture &&&, which he initially founded with Jack’s former creative director Jon Link.
