Emap search over

By Press Gazette

Tom Moloney takes over as group chief executive of Emap next week, following a six-month search for a replacement for Robin Miller.

Moloney, who is being promoted from chief operating officer, has been at Emap for more than 20 years. He worked on the launch of titles such as Heat and Q, and oversaw the acquisitions of Kerrang! and New Woman.

Chairman Adam Broadbent said he was chosen for his “vision, energy and experience”.

Moloney joined Emap in 1981 when it bought Educational Computing from ECC Publications.

Miller stood in as Emap chief executive following Kevin Hand’s departure.
