Belfast Telegraph editor Edmund Curran is moving on after 12 years
in the top job to become editor-in-chief of Telegraph Group.

His time in charge has been a period in which the paper (circulation 91,505) has taken a
leading role in supporting the Northern Ireland peace process.
In recent months Curran has fought back against sharp circulation
declines by launching a tabloid-size morning edition of the paper
– which is a broadsheet evening. He has also taken the Saturday edition

In his new job Curran will oversee editorial policy for the Belfast
Telegraph, Sunday Life and the Community Telegraph.
