Berkshire weekly the Maidenhead Advertiser is moving its publication date from Friday to Thursday.

Chief executive Jeremy Spooner said that Thursday has emerged as being almost as busy as Saturday for shopping.

He said: "All our research tells us the extra day in the market will be very popular with readers, who get their news 24 hours earlier, and advertisers, whose messages have an extra day of exposure.
