Drive for ‘single multimedia newsroom’ to cost 10 jobs

By Press Gazette

Ten jobs are to be cut at Media Wales, the Trinity Mirror-owned division that publishes the Western Mail, the South Wales Echo and Wales on Sunday.

The announcement comes a week after editor Richard Williams left the Echo for unspecified reasons.

Staff were told on Tuesday there would be 10 voluntary job cuts as part of a major shake-up of the group designed to improve the titles’ online operations.
