Croydon paper goes compact

By Press Gazette

The Croydon Advertiser is to go compact from 31 March.

East Sussex and Surrey newspapers editor-in-chief Ian Carter said: "There has been a lot of effort for the newspaper in Croydon to become much more modern in the past couple of years. The area is not really a broadsheet market. People in Croydon really want a quality compact."

The current broadsheet weekly title will change from two sections to one without losing any pagination. Its last ABC figure was 21,585.
