Clean up your game

By Press Gazette

The Non-League Paper sent out thousands of green wristbands over Easter as part of its “Clean up our Game” campaign.

The campaign aims to:

● end foul and abusive language by fans, players and managers;

● stop abuse of referees – both verbal and physical;

● call time on player dissent;

● kick out the divers and cheats feigning injury.

David Emery, editor-in-chief of the Non-league Paper, said: “We have
had an incredible response to our campaign in the last few weeks with
sales of the paper significantly up and thousands of requests from
clubs and supporters for the green wristbands.

“There has also
been significant media interest raising the profile of the Non-League
Paper as it leads the fight to clean up football. The campaign really
seems to have captured the mood of the footballing nation.”
