City AM editor David Parsley is taking time off to care for his wife, who is about to undergo treatment for cancer.
Parsley, who has been editor since City AM's launch last September, will return to fulltime work before Christmas. He will continue to write features and interviews for the paper during this period, but will not edit the paper.
Deputy editor Claire Oldfield will take over day-to-day running of City AM until Parsley returns to the editor's chair.
