Staff on BBC Good Food magazine have produced a special issue to mark its 15th birthday, and put a chef on the cover for the first time in the magazine’s history.
The October issue, out next week, features celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay on the cover – to reflect the popularity of celebrity chefs – and a 24-page supplement, written by Gay Search, to coincide with the release of the new BBC book Delia’s Kitchen Garden.
The supplement features tips on how to grow fruit and vegetables at home and a selection of recipes from Delia Smith. It will also be published with the October issue of BBC Gardeners World magazine – resulting in the first ever tie-up between the titles. BBC Good Food magazine was dreamed up by Peter Phippen, managing director at BBC Magazines, following a conversation with Peter Bazalgette, then producer of the Food and Drink programme.
Since its launch it has produced several spin offs such as Easy Cook, Vegetarian Christmas and Make It Italian!.
