Carp fishers get Loaded-style mag

By Press Gazette

Carp fishing enthusiasts are being targeted by an irreverent new lads’ mag called Carpology.

The 98-page title has been launched by Norfolk-based Toffee Publications and is distributed free in tackle shops throughout the UK.

Editor Joe Wright said carping was the fastest-growing sector in fishing and claimed it had a potential audience of 100,000. “There are a lot of people who think carp fishing is done by a group of sad men but it’s mainly 18 to 30-year-olds having a laugh on the bank. We are trying to make an FHM/Loaded-style mag for carp fishermen,” he told Press Gazette.

Carpology is published in an A5 format and has a print run of 21,000.
