British-owned celebrity pictures agency BWP secured exclusive pictures of Britney Spears on her honeymoon.
The Britney pictures were sold exclusively to The Sun in the UK and US Weekly in America.
Edinburgh-based
BWP expanded into Los Angeles last year, under the brand Pacific Coast
News, and now has nine mainly British staff based out there. The agency
recently poached Matt Carrington and Martin Grimes from rival outfit
Splash.
BWP director Stephen Walker said: “Candid celebrity
photography was a hot commodity but previously the domain of wild,
uncontrollable individuals.
Pacific Coast News seeks to bring integrity and technology into this market.”
A
set of photos of Hunter S Thompson taken by agency director Paul Harris
in 1990 were widely used in the national press last week following the
writer’s suicide.
