A fund in memory of Kerem Lawton, the producer who was killed last month in Kosovo, has been set up by APTN, the television news agency he worked for.
Donations should be made to the Kerem Lawton Fund, account number 45412839, National Westminster Bank, Sort code 60 30 03. The branch address is PO Box 2162, 20 Dean Street, London, w1a 1sx.
Messages of condolence can be sent to the office of APTN’s chief executive, Ian Ritchie, "for the attention of the family of Kerem Lawton" at APTN, The Interchange, Oval Road, London, nw1 7dz, or by fax to 020 7413 8355.
Lawton, 30, was killed shortly after he arrived in the Kosovan village of Krivenik, less than a mile from the border with the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
The International Federation of Journalists has called for an inquiry into Lawton’s death, which followed a bombardment by the Macedonian army of a nearby ethnic Albanian guerrilla base just inside Macedonia.
The Macedonian Government has denied causing the death of Lawton and two others.
Lawton had been living in Pristina with his Kosovan Albanian wife, Elida Ramadani, who also works for APTN.
She is eight months pregnant.
The fund is dedicated to their unborn child.
