A luxury lifestyle magazine for American Express Platinum cardholders is branching out into Europe this summer with the launch of eight new editions.
The European titles, published in four languages, will be available in the UK, Germany, France, Spain Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands and Austria and will be sent direct to members.
Departures, published by American Express Publishing Corporation, will feature sophisticated lifestyle content from the US edition plus tailored articles for each locality.
Christian Schwalbach, founder of the Munich-based title, Journal International Verlag, will act as editor and publisher. He is an international travel journalist and has contributed to such titles as Vogue and Elle.
Schwalbach said: “The combination of our global network of experienced and well-known writers and photographers together with the Departures network of our U.S. partners will provide the magazines with an excellent and unrivalled level of quality content.”
