Allsopp signs up to interior title

By Press Gazette

Interiors magazine Homes & Gardens is changing to a bigger format from the September issue.

The IPC title has increased its page size by 10 per cent, creating more space for photography and features. It has also updated the logo by using a new typeface. Kirsty Allsopp, from Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location, has signed up to do a regular feature.

Deputy editor Angela Linforth said the size gave the design an opportunity to develop. “It looks a bit more elegant,” she said.

The September issue, out on 1 August, will feature a supplement on how to decorate with paint, including tips on choosing new colours and using new products.

Despite the National Magazine Company closing Your Home earlier this month, IPC said Homes & Gardens had shown good growth. In the latest ABCs it recorded a circulation of 157,981, up 6.7 per cent year-on-year.
