New digital fitness and health magazine Alpha Man has used some pioneering technology to make its latest cover come to life.
The title, which was launched last month, is available solely as a free monthly app for tablets and mobile, downloadable on iTunes and GooglePlay App Store.
Publisher Jon Lipsey said he thinks the cover shot of Reggie Yates is a technological first for a UK men’s magazine.
He said: “We have done this using a camera that allows us to pull print-quality still from film. You therefore see the conventional cover image before it turns into a film from the precise frame that the image was taken.
“We've also shot a fashion shoot with him using this technique as well as a filmed interview where he talks about recently getting into fitness after being uncomfortable about taking his top off on the beach."
