Time magazine has launched its online archive, which will allow subscribers access to 81 years of the magazine’s history.
The
archive, which can be found at www.timearchive.com, includes more than
266,000 articles dating back to the magazine’s first issue in March
1923, and also features photos and front page scans.
The resource is organised into topics such as person of the year, the British royals, love and sex, and World War II.
Joshua
Macht, Time.com’s editor, said: “This is an invaluable resource that
spans our collective history since 1923, and it’s a history that is
often surprisingly relevant to the issues we face every day.”
The
title has a worldwide circulation of 5.4 million and is distributed
through Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia, South Pacific,
Canada, Latin America and the US.
