Cyclist magazine is to launch a second inernational edition, in Germany, on 20 February.
The title was launched in the UK by Dennis Publishing in September 2012 and now has a circulation in this country of 26,000 copies a month (with a £5 cover price).
There is already an Australian edition of the title, licensed by Citrus Media.
Ian Bedwell, director of international licensing at Dennis Publishing, said: “Cyclist magazine has thrived in the UK market, and I’m confident it will have the same success in Germany.”
Nicola Bates, publisher of Cyclist UK, said: “Since the 2012 Olympics road cycling has taken the world by storm and captured the imaginations of many. Cyclist magazine was created as a response to a gap in the market in the UK, and by taking it to Germany we can help another nation of keen cyclists to really indulge their passion.”
Cyclist Germany will publish bi-monthly, with a cover price of €5.95.
Dennis said that more licensing deals for the title are “on the horizon”.
