Condé Nast is preparing to launch a new decoration, food and lifestyle website – with a design inspired by fashion blogs and the image-sharing site Pinterest.
House, which goes live tomorrow, replaces the existing sites for House & Garden and Easy Living magazines. It will also feature new content not used in the print products covering travel, food and design.
The new portal aims to appeal to "the new breed of affluent interiors consumer, those who are digitally savvy, with a passion for Pinterest, design blogs and fashion magazines for inspiration".
Digital director Jamie Jouning said: "There appears to be a genuine gap in the marketplace for a website that delivers intelligent, sophisticated and inspirational writing on the increasingly pervasive verticals of design, interiors, food and travel
"By taking the successful design approach of the Easy Living site, migrating all relevant existing content and adding new features and ideas from the House & Garden team we have a very strong brand proposition with an established, engaged and passionate audience from the get go."
House & Garden had an audited circulation figure of 120,008 in the last set of ABC results.
