The Times chief political reporter Anushka Asthana has moved to Sky News as political correspondent.
Asthana has worked in The Times' Westminster office for the past two years as a columnist and chief political reporter.
She previously spent eight years at the Observer as education correspondent, deputy news editor, health reporter and, latterly, policy editor. While at the Observer, she was shortlisted for the young journalist of the year category at the British Journalism Awards and, in 2006, won the Laurence Stern Fellowship, spending several months working at the Washington Post.
