Ceri Radford, a journalist with The Daily Telegraph, is to have the blog she writes for the paper’s website turned into a novel.
Radford started the blog character Constance Harding in 2008 depicting the life of a stoic Home Counties heroine which came to the attention of publishers last year.
The novel that will result from the character, A Surrey State of Affairs, is published today.
Radford said: ‘It was a thrill to take my character and her mad ensemble of bell-ringers and runaway bankers off the computer screen and onto the printed page.
‘A Surrey State of Affairs is dedicated to the band of like-minded readers on The Telegraph, who immediately grasped the irony of Constance’s posts and became firm friends of my meddling, match-making, often perplexed heroine.”
