The Belfast Telegraph is planning to launch iPad and iPhone news apps to complement its existing classified ad smartphone apps.
Users will pay an up front fee for the iPhone app then pay followed by six-monthly or annual subscription fee to upgrade – the iPad app will be paid on monthly subscription- according to the Newspaper Society.
The new launches, which are expected to be rolled-out in the next few weeks, will join three existing ad-based apps published by the Belfast Telegraph – including the Propertynews app, the niCarfinder app and the niJobfinder app.
According to the NS, the Telegraph is also planning to launch MadForAds will ‘allow users to place their own classified ads and upload photographs of items for sale.”
