Dennis Publishing is extending its range of motoring titles with the launch of a new car review website.
Unlike Dennis’s other motoring brands – which include Auto Express and Evo – Carbuyer.co.uk (as the name suggests) is aimed at drawing those interested in buying cars rather than an enthusiast.
The ad-funded site has been designed to help users to make purchasing decisions by offering expert reviews, aggregated news content and exclusive video road tests.
Dennis launched a Carbuyer YouTube channel earlier this month as a taster of the video content around which the site will be focused.
The site will also be powered by facts and figures from JATO – the data provider to the motoring industry – allowing visitors to access specifications for every new model.
Pete Wootton, managing director of Dennis Interactive said: ‘Carbuyer’s user-centric design has been developed with the input of over 6,000 new car buyers.
‘In addition to our extensive user testing programme, we engaged key motoring manufacturers and the agencies that represent them to help shape our new product.
‘This innovative approach has ensured we will deliver a product that offers rich commercial opportunities in a quality branding environment.”
The publisher said today that it struck a deal with ad buying agency Mindshare to provide a launch campaign for their motoring clients – Ford, Mazda, Land Rover, Jaguar and Volvo.
