Sky News is to extend its flagship business programme, Jeff Randall Live, to an hour from this evening.
Previously, the show was broadcast between 7:30pm to 8pm Monday to Thursday, now it will start 30 minutes earlier at 7pm.
Chris Birkett, executive editor of Sky News, said: ‘With the biggest story in Britain over the next two years being business and economics, the time is right to expand on our business coverage giving more space for Jeff to probe business leaders and policy makers about whether the country is going in the right direction.”
Randall stepped down from his role as the Daily Telegraph editor-at-large at the end of 2008 to join Sky News on a permanent basis and front the then half-hour business news show.
He had previously presented a Monday evening business show on the channel since September, 2007.
