An online travel journalist has won £75,000 by taking part in Channel 4’s new game show The Million Pound Drop
Andy Jackson and his sister Katy appeared on the live show on 29 May and were the only contestants in the first series out of 11 teams to beat the game and leave the studio as winners.

Aptly enough, the final question on which the prize money rested had a journalistic theme. Host Davina McCall asked: “Who is older: Trevor McDonald or Ant AND Dec?”. The correct answer was McDonald by two years.

The game, gives contestants one million pounds at the start of the game and they must answer eight questions to hold on to as much of the money as possible by betting amounts on certain answers.
