British Transport Police is hiring web editor (£23-25K plus London allowance) on a one year fixed-term contract. You will be responsible for content, development and management of the site and e-applications. You should be a great writer, an excellent editor and a sound judge of content. Royal Mail’s Stamps & Philatelic unit is looking for an editorial research manager (£39,422). You will work with designers, photographers, illustrators, writers, journalists and broadcasters to create an extensive portfolio of stamp products. You need to be an experienced editor with a proven track record of copy-editing and managing editorial processes within a reputable magazine, periodical or publishing house. Job location: London. Closing date: 25 October.
IHS is hiring sub-editor (£18-22K). You will be responsible for editing/rewriting content as appropriate, checking copy for consistency and style, laying out news pages and occasional features in InDesign and choosing and processing extracts of stories for the front page. You should be educated up to degree-level. NCTJ or equivalent qualification is essential. At least one year’s experience of sub-editing and InDesign would be an advantage. The South East Target series is looking for a reporter to join its editorial team. You will generate content across a broad spectrum, developing contacts within the varied communities and take responsibility for a specific title’s content while reporting to the community editor. The East London Guardian series, a collection of London weeklies, is seeking a reporter to join its team. You will have a passion for news and for getting it first. A trade magazine is hiring a pub and bar editor. You have overall responsibility for managing or generating all content output relating to the hotel sector. You will write, commission and edit news, blogs, landing pages, analysis and features for Caterersearch and Caterer and Hotelkeeper, according to the group’s content agenda. You will be an experienced journalist with a proven ability to deliver agenda-setting content across print and online publications. Job location: London.
